3D Graphics refers to digital editing involving photographic raster images and computer generated vector graphics to create 3 dimensional virtual structures. This is sometimes referred to as 3D modeling. Some applications allow for creating interactive 3D/4D worlds, as in that of Flash or Director, but full 4D interactive games. For example a virtual box, which is complete enough to be turned upside down to see the other side and interactive enough for one to use a virtual hand to reach out, or more accurately reach in to an imaginary virtual space, pick up and turn that box over. Alternatively 3D or 4D digital graphics editing may also allow creating movies with only one time line involving motion or interactive animation where there may be an infinite number of possible timelines that could play out depending on the interaction. Think special effects editing for hollywood movies.
