Ad Spots - Link Swapping
Ad Spots | Link Swapping | Strategy

TechSelfHelp™ develops linkable Ad Spots (linkable advertisements for web sites or products) for which others can copy and paste code into their web sites to display. This displays the Ad Spot on their web site for your web site or product, and allows you or us as your developer to edit that Ad Spot at a central location. Any central editing immediately results in the new updated Ad Spot being displayed on any web site that displays your Ad Spot without each separate web site having to get new files, update their pages, or links from you. Even if you don't have a web site or web hosting we can even host your Ad Spot for you.
(Be sure you scroll down to see the full page of instructions)

FREE Tutorial Example:

"html Ad Spot" for the web site www.theazaleamanor.com

Follow these instructions and see if you can make this work on your web site.

We developed an Ad Spot which can be inserted into your web site simply by inserting the following code, which you can try:

<iframe height="250" width="100%" frameBorder="0" src="http://www.theazaleamanor.com/azmad/">
<a href="http://www.theazaleamanor.com>Welcome to Azalea Manor Bed and Breakfast in Madison Indiana.</a></iframe>
If you do this correctly, immediately below is what you should see, an Ad Spot for Azalea Manor Bed and Breakfast.

Code for both the large and small Ad Spots can be found here.
See if you can successfully insert these Ad Spots into your site.

If you see the code as above, and not the picture, this probably means that your editing software, while thinking it was helping you, automatically converted your
"<" and ">"
into
"&lt;" and "&gt;"
In which case, you will need to make these replacements, switching back to < and > in the code view of your page.
Also note: your editor may have a special paste function called "Paste Html", commonly found from the "Edit pull-down menu" in the upper left corner.

1. Copy the code from the box above.
2. Just place the cursor on the page where you want the code to be inserted,
within your web page editor.
3. use the "Edit pull-down menu" and select "paste html".

When finished, in design view, you shouldn't see anything. Remember it's in the page's code. Upload your page (or "put") and view it on the internet and make sure it displays correctly there. If you have trouble just ask for help here.

Also note, the help request doesn't cost anything if you are actually using this tutorial and pasting one of our hosted Ad Spots code into a web site. But if you make a help request for something completely unrelated, we'll need to charge for the time.

The insertable code allows the owner of the Ad Spot to update, correct, or modify the Ad Spot once and the results be immediately propogated to all the web sites showing the ad spot. It also makes it difficult for a particular web site to mess up your Ad Spot, either it displays correctly or it doesn't display at all. And of course they can't edit the content of your Ad Spot.

Imagine the power of your Ad Spot, being inserted on web sites for businesses which may be able to share customers and common market segments. If we (you and the business owner you're talking to) each place a link swap like this on each other's web site, we'll both get more total traffic. And more traffic could mean more business.

Create your own link swappable Ad Spot and get other's to include your Ad Spot on their web site.

If you would like us to make one for you, just ask here.
$100, we make it live, on the phone and on the internet so you can see it.
We email you the files and instructions on how to put it on your web site,
so others can link to it.

If you have no web site,
and would like us to host the Ad Spot for you, just ask here.
$100 includes 1 year of Ad Spot hosting if you just ask.
Each additional year $100.

Remember Ad Spots can be modified at any time, updated.
So the Ad Spot can change and evolve over time as you would like.
That's never a problem, just ask here.

Note the $100 fee includes up to 10 hours of actual time spent working on the Ad Spot. However, if we do the editing, and the time spent exceeds 10 hours (unlikely),
we will need to charge you a fee to cover that time.
For examle, if we do the editing and you change it every month,
over the next 12 months that will cost you.

Although, if you do the editing, it's your time, no cost to us, no fees!
And it makes no difference if you provide your own hosting or if we do, you, if you have the skills and tools, can still edit it yourself, no problem, no other fees.
That's never a problem, just ask here.
